The Houston Facelift Procedure:
For a younger, fresher look, Dr Chang will remove the affects of aging by removing wrinkles and loose skin, and then tighten the muscles lying just under your skin. A face lift will reduce sagging, reduce deep creases below the eyes and between the nose and mouth, improve muscle tone appearance, and remove excess fat and skin under the chin and jaw line.
Each face lift is different, and depends upon your objectives, and the basic structure of your face. Dr Chang will assess the thickness, texture and elasticity of your skin, and then determine the proper combination of techniques to provide the new and enhanced look you require. A facelift can be combined with other procedures, including Rhinoplasty to reshape the nose, eyelid and/or brow lifts. Ideal candidates are between 40 to 60 years of age, have a well–defined bone structure, relatively high skin elasticity, and thin facial skin.
During the Houston Facelift procedure, excess skin will be removed and muscles tightened. Incisions will be made in skin folds or above the hairline to reduce the appearance of any scars. The procedure will be carried out in Dr Chang's accredited 8,000 square foot facility, using either a local or general anesthetic.
Immediately following face lift surgery, oral pain medications may be required for a day or so. Within 7 to 14 days, all swelling or bruising should have subsided but, normally, sun should be avoided for several weeks.
