Dr. Chang at Alief ISD Career Day

“My anatomy students enjoyed your before and after pictures.”

These were some of the remarks made by the students and teachers of Hastings High School of Alief ISD. Dr. Peter Chang gave back to the Houston community when he gave a presentation on being a cosmetic plastic surgeon on Career Day 2008.

Taking time out of his busy schedule, Dr. Peter Chang spent the entire morning of October 30 speaking to junior and senior high school students at Hastings High School. Dr. Chang shared his background of what it was like growing up in poverty in Brooklyn, New York. Through hard work and perseverance, he overcame all odds and earned two Ivy League degrees, two doctorate degrees, and completed multiple surgical residency programs to become one of the most educated cosmetic plastic surgeons in the Sugar Land and Houston communities.

Dr. Chang wowed the crowd with his impressive before and after pictures of his surgeries which included breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tuck, face lift, eyelid surgery, and rhinoplasty.

Dr. Chang’s key point to the students of Alief ISD was “HARD WORK = SUCCESS.” He also explained that there are three types of people in this world. “There are those who do, there are those who watch, and then there are those who wonder what they could have done.”

Dr. Peter Chang concluded the talk by challenging the students to work hard to pursue their dreams and to stay safe and be responsible young adults.
